Blair Jensen is a P4 pharmacy student with a unique blend of business and healthcare expertise. Originally from Whittier, California, she holds a degree in Business Economics and is set to graduate in May 2025. Inspired by her dad, who ran his own pharmacy, Jensen is determined to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in independent retail pharmacy—where patient care meets entrepreneurship. Her interests are rooted in making healthcare more accessible and personalized. She believes that independent retail pharmacy offers the unique opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients and make a difference in their health care. Mildred Curran, the Director of Student Services for the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, was presented with the NACADA Global Award for Outstanding Advising in a Primary Role last month. This is her third time being recognized by NACADA. Among her many professional achievements, she was selected in recognition of her dedication to inclusivity, diversity, and equity, and her efforts to advocate for and empower all students. “These awards mean so much to me because I truly care about my students’ success and strive to make a positive impact on their academic journeys,” Curran said. Priya Ritzberg CPhT is a senior in the BSPS program with minors in biochemistry and public health. Ritzberg currently serves as a PharmSci ambassador and Peer Mentor for the College of Pharmacy, all while working as a pharmacy technician.
