Great project collaboration with all involved.
How do we move entire communities away from fossil fuels? By scaling geothermal energy. In the City of Framingham, Massachusetts, Eversource Energy, with the contribution of Celsius Energy and key partners, has developed the first utility-scale geothermal heating and cooling network in the U.S.—proving that large-scale decarbonization is possible today. This one-mile geothermal loop supplies an entire neighborhood – 37 buildings. ? Replacing fossil fuels: Homes and businesses traditionally heated with gas are now benefiting from a carbon-free, cost-effective thermal network. ?Scaling impact: This project isn’t just a one-off—it’s a replicable model for cities looking to decarbonize. ?Enhancing energy resilience: By shifting heating and cooling loads to geothermal, we reduce strain on the grid and optimize renewables. Geothermal is a scalable, network-based energy model that can decarbonize entire neighborhoods. Is your city ready to make the switch? ?? Learn more about this project: https://lnkd.in/ejmmNRis ??
