Today we celebrate Will Wilhelm for his 10 years with R.D. Olson Construction!?Will started his career with us as a project engineer.??His enthusiasm for learning and hard work have made him the highly respected project manager that he is today. Will has worked on some iconic projects in his ten years, including The Bicycle Hotel and Casino, Westin Desert Willow, The Lido House Hotel in Newport Beach, Chapman University, and his most recent project, The Emporia Place in Ontario. We asked Will his favorite things about R.D. We are proud to share a project update from Element by Westin Mission Valley! We’ve just completed a major milestone with nearly 2,100 cubic yards of concrete poured for the mat slab foundation, which is over 3 feet thick! Our dedicated team worked from 4 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to achieve this.?We’re now gearing up for the next phases: pouring columns and shotcreting shear walls to reach the 2nd floor deck by the end of the month. We’re also preparing for the 3rd floor podium concrete deck in early December and the 3rd floor framing scheduled for mid-December. All of this is being done while ensuring a seamless experience for guests of the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley which is located on the same property. Early risers, big results! ?? Premium West Concrete, with their largest #concrete order to date, performed the mat slab #foundation pour for the Element Hotel under the direction of R.D. Olson Construction, Inc. Starting at 4:00 AM and wrapping up 11 hours later, we used 2,140 cubic yards of concrete and 237,963 lbs of rebar to build a foundation that's built to last! ????? ?? | Mission Valley - San Diego, CA ??♂? | R.D. We're pleased to share the current progress at Bolsa Row Terrace & Retail for our valued clients, IP Westminster and Avanti Development Partners. The aerial photography shows the concrete pour for the second level, which the team completed this week. Next up is the structural steel work for the covered towers. As we look ahead the next major milestones will be metal stud framing, drying, and plastering the building. We are anticipating a Spring 2025 completion. It was an unforgettable day for BRIDGE in Pasadena yesterday, at the Grand Opening of our latest permanent supportive housing community for seniors! The beautiful Heritage Square South community provides 69 affordable apartments for seniors who previously experienced homelessness. This community is already changing the lives of some of our most vulnerable neighbors, who are also receiving intensive services from Union Station Homeless Services.? ? CBS-TV broadcast a wonderful report about the opening, available at this link: https://lnkd.in/giknvPyN ? Heritage Square South is the second phase of a two-phase project developed in coordination with the City of Pasadena and other partners, located next to BRIDGE’s Heritage Square community, which opened in 2016. ? We were delighted to be joined by many friends and partners yesterday, including US Representative Judy Chu, Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, Pasadena Housing Director William Huang, and others. Special thanks to resident Keith Dickson for sharing his moving personal story about the tremendous impact Heritage Square South has had on his life. ? None of these milestones can be achieved alone.
