This just in! We’ve expanded support to ARM-based servers, including Nvidia Grace (Hopper and Blackwell), Ampere, and AWS Graviton processors. This means you can run Quobyte, the world’s easiest parallel file system, on cutting-edge ARM platforms for AI and other performance-intensive workloads. Whether you’re deploying Rocky Linux 9 or Ubuntu 24.04, you’ll enjoy the same powerful features, including RDMA support, and you can easily mix these new ARM nodes into your existing Quobyte clusters. The result? Seamless scalability and non-disruptive operations, so your cluster investments stay protected while you tap into the latest advances in AI-ready infrastructure. Our ARM-based software is available immediately for existing Quobyte customers - get in touch to see how you can supercharge your AI workloads with this new level of performance and flexibility. HPC storage is shifting from a performance bottleneck to a capacity-first mindset. In our new blog, Quobyte’s Felix Hupfeld explains how flash technology has eliminated performance woes for “hot” data, letting you focus on managing massive datasets. Discover how this decoupling of storage from compute refresh cycles cuts data migrations, extends hardware lifespan, and slashes costs. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gRHSEWma #HPC #AI #storage #Flash #data
Growing Flash Drives means no more 4k writes. As the capacity of SSDs is quickly growing to 64 and 128TB, the costly DRAM for the FTL layer is not. The consequence: The write units for the larger drives are growing as well and 4k IO suddenly becomes costly. Small writes trigger read-modify-write cycles and drive up latency and wear. Quobyte is built for this shift. By writing data in large, contiguous blocks, Quobyte minimizes fragmentation, reduces write amplification, and takes optimal advantage of large QLC drives. If your storage stack still relies on small allocation units, it’s time to rethink the architecture. Felix Hupfeld explains why in his latest blog: https://lnkd.in/gmAy_hg3
