At Quilt, we believe that smart design is more than just aesthetics – it's about creating comfortable, sustainable solutions that seamlessly integrate into people's lives. Our collaboration with industrial designers Maaike Evers and Mike Simonian of Mike & Maaike embodies this philosophy. With their partnership and expertise, we’ve built sleek, highly-efficient heat pumps that enhance home comfort while significantly reducing carbon footprints. Thank you Moooi and IDEO for facilitating the conversation and hosting such an engaging and thought-provoking panel! Smart design not only delivers a more modern home comfort experience, but can make sustainable choices intuitive and desirable – the ultimate win-win. https://lnkd.in/gu79CjB3 ?

?? Did you catch Quilt in Homes & Gardens? ?? We’re *pumped* to see ductless mini-split systems featured as a top choice for energy-efficient home heating! Paul Lambert, our founder and CEO, explains: “Rather than heating your entire home to make one room comfortable, you can target specific areas for maximum efficiency and comfort. The key is having a system that adapts to your home's unique layout and your family's specific needs.” Ductless mini-split systems are becoming increasingly common, and consumer perceptions are shifting positively. Homeowners are recognizing the value of: ? Precise room-to-room temperature control ? Enhanced energy efficiency—heat only the spaces you use ? Smart home technology for convenience and accessibility As adoption continues to rise, we’re excited to be at the forefront of this movement, helping transform how people think about heating, cooling, and all-around comfort. https://lnkd.in/gx9TaxyZ

Roses are red Heat pumps are efficient Isn’t it time You tried something different? In blustery winters They bring on the heat But they don’t make it, they move it To our planet’s relief And despite what their name says Heat pumps cool things down, too One system, two functions What can’t a heat pump do? When your child is sweaty But your spouse feels a chill There’s no thermostat fighting Since room temps change at your will An all electric system Leaves fossil fuels in the past So future generations? Can live a life that’s first class Happy Valentine's Day to our true love, the heat pump ??

The future of home comfort is all-electric, and an increasing number of homeowners are embracing heat pumps as part of that future. While awareness around heat pumps isn’t as common as that of traditional heating and cooling systems (furnaces and window AC units, for example), new year-over-year research from Quilt reveals some significant growth: - 67% of homeowners see heat pumps as a good heating option (up from 54%) - Nearly half of homeowners (47%) now see heat pumps "for people like me" (up from 34%) - Heat pumps, contrary to belief, can cool homes (58% of homeowners agree, up from 50%) - 40% of homeowners recognize heat pumps increase home value (up from 28%) These findings affirm our mission to get as many homes off fossil fuels as possible. And — we can’t help it — they foster our optimistic feelings about the all-electric future.?

?? Excited to share our latest conversation on climate innovation. ?? Our Co-founder and CEO, Paul Lambert, recently joined KPFA Radio's Sabrina Jacobs for a discussion on how next-generation heat pumps are transforming home comfort while tackling one of civilization's greatest challenges – climate change. In this wide-ranging conversation, Paul breaks down: - The "magical" efficiency of heat pump technology. - Why modernizing home climate systems is critical for addressing climate change. - Our responsibility to develop solutions that match the scale of today's environmental challenges. At Quilt, we believe the transition to electrification should enhance daily life. Head to the 8:00 minute mark to hear how we're making that vision reality:? https://lnkd.in/gyXTGtfS

The past weeks have been heavy, watching the impact of these fires on our Southern California neighbors. These times remind us why we do what we do: Creating comfortable, resilient homes isn't just about technology, it's about people and community. And while we had planned to launch Quilt in LA this month, our neighbors are facing much bigger challenges right now. We'll be returning in spring, but in the meantime, we wanted to highlight some of the organizations our friends and partners have launched that are doing the vital work of helping the community rebuild. If you can help or know someone who needs support, please share. ?? Lauren Reyes Lim and LVR STUDIOS is offering free one-hour video consultations to help victims who have lost their homes create spaces that feel like home again. ?? Tommy Lei's Artist Fire Relief Fund (https://lnkd.in/e9uPJ8Jn) is directly supporting LA's creative community, helping artists who've lost their studios and irreplaceable work find their footing again. ?? Home Bank LA (https://homebankla.org/) is providing emergency financial assistance and critical support services to residents, ensuring our neighbors can stay housed and stable during this challenging time. ?? Team Rubicon's (https://lnkd.in/dcv925Z) veteran volunteers are bringing their unique expertise to disaster response, working tirelessly on the ground to support immediate relief and long-term recovery. ?? Habitat LA (https://www.habitatla.org/) is providing critical disaster relief services to homeowners impacted by the fires, including emergency repairs, rebuilding assistance, and relief supplies. Their Disaster Relief Program specifically helps low-income families restore safe, stable housing. Our hearts are with LA. ??
