Today, we hear from Joe Cieslik (Co-Founder & COO of Aeon) and Naweed Tahmas (Co-Founder & CEO of Aeon) on how tech companies are bringing much-needed competition to the production of weapons systems. https://lnkd.in/gEhs-FJc - The war in Ukraine, entanglements in the Middle East, and potential conflicts in Taiwan have revealed shortfalls in US weapons systems and structural vulnerabilities in our defense base. - To deter future conflicts with powerful, nuclear-armed adversaries, America’s defense force is modernizing to produce weapons systems more quickly, in greater numbers, and more cost-effectively. - Tech innovators are building autonomous, software-driven systems and using non-traditional approaches to manufacturing and supply chains. #venturecapital #quietcapital #nationaldefense #aeon

Congrats to the Speakeasy team! Interested in revolutionizing API development? They're hiring: https://lnkd.in/g3_yNNzh
Humbled to announce our $15M Series A funding round! ?? When we started Speakeasy, we made a promise to ourselves: every decision would start with our customers. Today's milestone isn't just about the funding—it's a testament to the incredible developers and teams who've trusted us with their API development journeys. Our lead investor captured it perfectly: "Teams aren't just using the platform; they're enthusiastically championing it, which speaks volumes about Speakeasy's ability to deliver real value and an exceptional experience." This is exactly what we set out to do. Every feature we've shipped, every improvement we've made, has been shaped by direct feedback from our users. Your challenges became our challenges. Your successes became our successes. To our community of developers: your trust drives us. This new chapter is about doubling down on that commitment. Special thanks to FPV Ventures, GV (Google Ventures), Quiet Capital and Wesley Chan, Pegah Ebrahimi, Crystal Huang, Astasia Myers and David Greenbaum for believing in our vision of making API development more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. PS: We're hiring across all departments! If you're passionate about developer experience and want to help shape the future of API development, let's talk. #DeveloperExperience #APITools #CustomerFirst

Congratulations to the Infinitus Systems, Inc. team!
Today, I’m excited to share Infinitus Systems, Inc.’s $51.5 million Series C led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Coatue, GV (Google Ventures), Kleiner Perkins and Memorial Hermann Health System. When Shyam Rajagopalan and I started Infinitus more than five years ago, we did so with a vision to make healthcare “wait-less.” Since our founding in 2019, we’ve been committed to creating a future where every patient has up-to-the-minute information and support at every stage of their healthcare journey and technology works for employees instead of the other way around. Today’s significant milestone marks a pivotal moment in our journey to revolutionize healthcare through the power of AI. This has been a remarkable year for Infinitus, which surpassed four million calls made by our AI agent a few months ago. We’ve been up to a lot in 2024, including: ? In May, we launched our electronic benefit verification solution for patients covered by Medicare Part B.? ? Then, in August, we launched eBV for patients covered by commercial insurance, instantly providing data necessary to get patients access to treatment. ? Today, we’re releasing FastTrack?, the first purpose-built AI copilot for healthcare, which enables call center staff to bypass lengthy IVR systems and hold times.?Congrats Brendan, Sue & Maximillian! None of this would be possible without our incredible team of Infinauts, who believe deeply in our mission and push the boundaries of innovation to drive us forward. Thank you to Katie Roof at Bloomberg for covering the announcement: https://lnkd.in/gnSAMS7U More details on our Series C in our blog: https://lnkd.in/gj6iTybR More about the launch of FastTrack in our announcement: https://lnkd.in/gm39CUGS Scott, Krishna, Ilya, Feby, Thomas

Today, we hear from Stas Sokolin (Co-Founder & CEO of Amae Health) on how data could help deliver vastly improved care for the 14 million Americans with severe mental illness. ??? https://lnkd.in/gZWKG6an - More than 14 million adults in the United States have a severe mental illness (SMI), which affects how they feel, think, and behave. Few receive quality care. - The driving force behind mental health medications and treatment plans is qualitative, not quantitative, unlike the vast majority of medical specialities. Meanwhile, the most significant innovation in healthcare delivery over the last half-century—telemedicine—has done little to boost care for people with SMI. - Standardizing data collection will eliminate guesswork when it comes to treating patients with SMI, and revamping in-person care gives patients the lifesaving support they need. #venturecapital #quietcapital #mentalhealth #amaehealth

Today, we hear from Alexander Baikovitz (Co-Founder & CEO of Mach9) on how better, more timely geospatial data could bring efficiency and cost-savings to the modernization of our aging infrastructure. ??? https://lnkd.in/gQim5jnY - As America looks to spend trillions of dollars updating and expanding its infrastructure, data-driven mapping and analysis must play a critical role. We can’t fix what we don’t understand, or build where we don’t fully grasp the physical environment — at least not efficiently and cost-effectively. - New imaging and machine learning technologies are generating robust, three-dimensional maps at previously unimaginable speeds and scale. - These technologies empower project stakeholders to make better decisions — accelerating infrastructure project delivery, averting disasters before they happen, avoiding costly mistakes and surprises, prioritizing spending, and efficiently using resources.? #venturecapital #quietcapital #infrastructure #geospatial #mach9

Today, we hear from Charles Chiau (Co-Founder, CEO, & CTO of Bedrock Ocean Exploration) on how new technologies for mapping the ocean will dramatically advance our knowledge of the most mysterious parts of our planet. ?? https://lnkd.in/gn8ZPSJG - The ocean remains an alien environment we know very little about - This lack of knowledge has implications for vital human infrastructure like underwater fiber optic cables, oil and gas pipelines, as well as the development of offshore renewable energy and our ability to manage natural resources - A greater understanding of the oceans, which absorb one-quarter of all carbon emissions, will give us a better grasp on how human activities have altered the environment, helping us better predict and mitigate climate change - A new generation of low-cost autonomous vehicles is poised to make collecting data and insights from all levels of the ocean, from the surface to deep sea, easier, faster, and more affordable #venturecapital #quietcapital #oceanexploration #bedrockocean #auv
