Orlando is fortunate to have so many community organizations that provide important services and programs that help residents thrive. They are truly helping to shape a stronger, more compassionate city for all. One of the ways that the City of Orlando supports non-profits is through our Community Investment Program. Today Mayor Dyer and the City Council approved nearly $3 million in funding to help 56 groups continue to be there for our community. Program focus areas include housing-focused services for people experiencing homelessness, family sustainability, domestic violence, support of seniors and improving the availability, access and consumption of healthy foods.
