Taking 50,000 sq ft of space, COUR's new home will have traditional office space, a research and development lab, and a pilot #manufacturing plant. COUR is developing ?rst-in-class therapies designed to reprogram the #immune system to achieve #antigen-speci?c tolerance for immune-mediated disease. COUR’s platform of immune-modifying #nanoparticles address the root cause of immune disease, unlike traditional approaches, which only minimize symptoms using toxic immune suppression. COUR’s lead product for #celiac disease, partnered with Takeda, is the ?rst demonstration of induction of antigen-speci?c immune tolerance in any #autoimmune disease. Congratulations to Northwestern University #startup NanoGraf Corporation - featured in Friday's The New York Times - - Nanograf is creating one of the world’s largest silicon #anode facilities in Flint, Michigan, significantly advancing U.S. efforts to onshore the battery supply chain and enhancing the performance of domestically made #lithiumion #batteries. With $60M from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and additional funds, Nanograf's advanced production facility will produce 2,500 tons per year of the company's proprietary silicon anode material – enough material to supply 1.5 million #EVs per year. What a great event last night! Paula M. Trienens Institute for Sustainability and Energy and Northwestern's Querrey InQbation Lab (The Q) recently joined forces and launched the Trienens-Q Cleantech Accelerator, an integrated array of #translational resources laser-focused on advancing #breakthroughs in #decarbonization, #renewableenergy and #sustainability. We had the opportunity to highlight the available funding and programming, hear about new startup NylaNova's launch from the accelerator from co-founder Yosi Kratish, and then engage in an incredibly robust panel discussion with Ben Schlatka of Material Impact, Gami Dadusc Maislin of Convergent Ventures and Shashank Churukanti of Evergreen Climate Innovations, moderated by Jeffrey Richards. We so appreciate Ben, Gami, and Shashank sharing their experiences to advise and support our university entrepreneurs! Such great Q&A with our audience! Invaluable pieces of wisdom from our panel - ?? It is never too early to understand voice of the customer ?? Venture capital is not always the answer ??
