?? Join Us in Keeping Seattle Warm: Winter Coat Drive at Queen Anne Beerhall, Moss Bay Hall & Smash Box @ GNB Ballard ?? As the days grow colder and wetter, the harsh reality of homelessness in our community becomes more evident. In 2024, Seattle and King County saw the highest number of individuals experiencing homelessness ever recorded, with 16,385 people living without stable shelter on any given night. This 23% increase from 2022 is a sobering reminder that more than ever, our neighbors need support. At The Hall Group, we believe in giving back to the community that has given us so much. That’s why we’re launching our 5th Annual Winter Coat Drive. Starting on November 4th and running through December 2nd, this will benefit Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. >> How You Can Help We’re asking for donations of new and gently used coats, as well as blankets and new socks to help our unhoused neighbors stay warm this winter. You’ll find convenient donation bins located at both Queen Anne Beerhall, Moss Bay Hall and Smash Box @ Great Notion Brewing in Ballard. Whether you’re stopping by for a drink, a meal, or to enjoy one of our events, please consider bringing an item to donate. All contributions will go directly to Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, a local non-profit organization that provides life-saving care and support to those in need. Union Gospel Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, meaning your donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. (IRS ID Number: 91-0595029) >> Why This Matters Winter in Seattle can be unforgiving, and for those without shelter, staying warm can be a matter of survival. Even one coat or blanket can make a significant difference in someone’s life. Yes, Michael Myers—the dude from the Halloween movies—might just have some leadership qualities we can all learn from. Here are five leadership principles he (unexpectedly) embodies: ?? 1. Unwavering Focus on the Goal Michael never loses sight of his objective. As leaders, staying laser-focused on your goals, no matter the distractions, is key to long-term success. ?? 2. Persistence in the Face of Setbacks Michael Myers faces endless challenges, yet he never gives up. Effective leaders bounce back from failures, keep going, and motivate their team to persevere. ?? 3. Silent but Strategic Action Michael doesn't talk much, but he lets his actions speak volumes. Leaders don't always need to be the loudest voice in the room. Sometimes, calculated actions and leading by example speak louder than words. ?? 4. Adaptability Whether he’s thwarted or faced with new obstacles, Michael adjusts his tactics. Leaders need to be flexible and ready to adapt to new circumstances, ensuring the team remains on track. ?? 5. Leading from the Shadows Michael rarely takes center stage, yet his presence is felt. Great leaders don’t need to hog the spotlight. They empower others to shine while guiding from behind.
