"Each One, Teach One” Day in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. On January 15th, Church Street School in Hamden hosted "Each One, Teach One" Day in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. The event aimed to introduce “everyday heroes and sheroes” of color from the Hamden/New Haven area to the students. Many guests shared their careers, personal experiences, and the significance of Dr. King’s dream. Among them was Quinnipiac University Sergeant Macio Harris, a member of the Hamden/New Haven community. He graciously shared his experiences, inspiring students to embrace the role of everyday heroes and sheroes in their own communities. Through his stories of public service, perseverance, and leadership, Sergeant Harris emphasized the values of justice, peace, and equality that Dr. King championed. Sergeant Harris’ contributions made the “Each One, Teach One” Day a memorable and impactful experience for the Church Street students. #EachOneTeachOne #QuinnipiacUniversityPublicSafety
