Belle Meadow - along with our other Asheville communities - were spared from major damage in the wake of Hurricane Helene's impacts across WNC. This allowed our team to quickly focus on supporting others who were affected, and get back to work. What was an already limited supply of available housing in Asheville has been exacerbated by the storm's impacts, and our team is working harder than ever to stay on track, finishing and releasing new homes at Belle Meadow each week. To help ease the burden of housing challenges, renters at Belle Meadow will be receiving their first month rent-free, and the community requires no up-front security deposit. Local essential service employees will receive additional discounts. The past 12 days have been incredibly challenging for Asheville, Western North Carolina, and everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene, as well as those affected by Milton this week. Our hearts go out to all who are facing the devastation and uncertainty in its wake. At Quartz Properties, we feel fortunate that none of our properties sustained major damage, and our focus has been on ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees. It took several days to confirm that our entire team was safe, and we're doing all we can to support them by providing full pay, storm stipends, on-site water tanks, and truckloads of critical supplies. Despite these trying times, we're committed to contributing to the community’s recovery. Our Belle Meadow project, which includes 90 rental homes, is nearing completion. Now, with housing needs more urgent than ever, we are working hard to finish the homes in a timely manner and ease the burden on displaced families. We are proud to have welcomed two families into their new homes last week, and construction continues throughout Belle Meadow. While we face many challenges, we are both optimistic and determined in our pursuit to provide more homes to our community in the coming weeks as part of Asheville's road to recovery.
