We are honored to be a part of a project that honors the lives of the Mother Emanuel Nine – the nine individuals tragically taken in 2015 during a Bible study at Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC. This memorial, made up of marble stone benches, honors the love and forgiveness extended by the victims’ families and reflects the resilience demonstrated by the survivors, church members, the Charleston community, and people worldwide. For years, our team has poured heart and skill into every carving, ensuring each chisel mark and polished surface reflects our unwavering commitment to honoring these nine individuals. The Embrace Memorial ? 2023 Boston Common We’re honored to have contributed to The Embrace Memorial, commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. & Coretta Scott King’s legacy & presence within the City of Boston. Made up of over 1,300 custom shaped granite stone pieces in 6 different finishes for the 6,000 sq. ft. Freedom Plaza, Quarra’s diamond shaped pavers evoke African American quilt making traditions. We’re proud to have been a part of a space where art, history, & craftsmanship come together to inspire unity & reflection.
