关于我们
Quantum Exponential intends to identify different investment opportunities in the quantum computing sector focussing on NATO allied countries. These include, but are not limited to, quantum communications, quantum sensing, quantum metrology and quantum computing software and components. Initially, Quantum Exponential will not pursue investments in companies that make classical cyber security software which claims to be quantum resistant and companies that use quantum technologies in their product description without a scientific justification. Quantum Exponential have identified over 175 start-ups that potentially meet our investment strategy with a focus on seed funding for start-ups with second stage funding plans in preparation.

???2025: The Year of Quantum is nearly here!??? As we move into 2025, it’s impossible not to feel the energy in the quantum tech space. For years, the potential of quantum technologies has been a topic of discussion, but now we’re entering a phase where that potential is turning into tangible results. At?Quantum Exponential , we’re fortunate to have a front-row seat to this transformation, backing visionary founders who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Why is 2025 different? Last year, we saw major milestones in quantum hardware, software, and applications. But 2025 is shaping up to be the year where the ecosystem matures into a viable industry—one where startups and corporations alike can deliver real impact. Here are the?key developments we’re watching?this year: 1???Practical Quantum Applications: While the headlines tend to focus on theoretical breakthroughs, 2025 is about practical use cases. Startups are solving specific, high-value problems in logistics, drug discovery, and optimization—areas where quantum’s unique strengths shine. 2???Cybersecurity Meets Quantum: As quantum computing gets closer to cracking traditional encryption, we’re seeing a surge in?quantum-safe cryptography?and secure communication protocols like quantum key distribution (QKD). The race to protect data for the next generation is well underway. 3???Quantum Sensors and Beyond: Beyond computing, quantum sensors are emerging as the unsung heroes of this field. They’re redefining precision in industries like healthcare, defense, and climate monitoring. Expect this space to gain significant traction in 2025. 4???Collaborative Ecosystems: Quantum development isn’t happening in silos anymore. The partnerships we’re seeing between startups, corporates, governments, and academia are accelerating R&D and opening doors for commercialization. The Role of Venture Capital Backing quantum startups isn’t just about capital—it’s about understanding the long-term game. These are companies tackling some of the hardest technical challenges out there, often in uncharted markets. At Quantum Exponential, our thesis is simple: quantum will be a cornerstone technology of the next 20 years, and the time to invest is now. We’re seeing opportunities across areas like quantum cryptography, hardware innovation, and quantum-enabled AI—and the progress is accelerating. What’s Next? 2025 will be a defining year for quantum tech, and we’re excited to play our part in building the ecosystem. Whether you’re a founder, operator, or fellow investor, let’s connect. There’s too much happening in this space to sit on the sidelines. ?? Drop us a message if you want to talk quantum—or comment below???? with what you’re most excited to see this year. Thanks to Innovate UK for the invite to this year's National Quantum Technologies Showcase in London. It was a great privilege to meet so many interesting people, and I was really proud to present on QLM Technology Ltd's quantum lidar methane camera. ? If you're interested in what we do at QLM, take a look at my presentation! [minutes 1 to 18] https://lnkd.in/dZhyZBJC ? As an engineer at QLM, I spend most of my time in a lab or at a computer, deep in some complex technical problem or other. But I think it’s important to occasionally step away from the day-to-day details, and engage with the wider community. I find attending events like this, and giving presentations, can be a really beneficial pursuit, and I highly recommend it for technical types like me in start-ups and scale-ups. Representing our companies in public gives us the opportunity to refine a lot of valuable communications skills and presentation material. Mixing with others and seeing what/who else is out there helps us understand how our technologies fit into the wider ecosystem, and how we may be able to develop and apply them in different ways. #quantum #lidar #methane
