QV has worked to catalyze investment in outdoor recreation for nearly a decade, building deep expertise in how to build strategic partnerships, develop innovative funding and governance models, and channel the power of nature and outdoor spaces to benefit communities. These recent figures from the Bureau of Economic Analysis highlight the $1.2 Trillion - with a T - impact that outdoor recreation had across the United States in 2023. One of our primary goals at QV—both on the climate and health and human services sides of our work—is to connect communities with the organizations and resources they need to thrive. Through innovative project structuring and financing, we bring all the stakeholders to the table and find ways forward that are beneficial to everyone.

On this Veterans Day, we honor the service of every member of our armed forces past and present.

Several members of our team got together earlier this week at our new satellite office in Montpelier, Vermont, in Vermont College of Fine Arts' College Hall. We look forward to using this as a base for doing big work with partners in New England and beyond.

In our work with community-based organizations, our Health and Human Services team focuses on finding avenues for collaboration and ways to connect multiple stakeholders to do work that is desperately needed to help our communities be healthier and happier. Our work with Care Share Health Alliance in North Carolina was an impactful experience that gave us even more concrete data on the value of CBOs and how the work they do every day drives individual and community health.

Fun and fascinating conversations at the International Land Conservation Network 2024 Global Congress with leading innovators in financing conservation. Creating a new and innovative finance solution for nature that sees real flows of finance and genuine impact for people and planet is no small feat. Learning lessons from pioneers in this field and turning them into Building Blocks to replicate further solutions is one of the ways we can capture and scale up the work innovators are leading. Thanks to Peter Howell for putting this panel of pioneers together Morrison Mast, Peter Culp, Anastasia Mourogova Millin, Tee (Terisa) Thomas, and to Peter Stein for always connecting, encouraging, and cheering us on. Exciting to see new ideas (and trees) take root! QV is thrilled to see Bosland Growth turn ideas into action and pleased to play an ongoing role in supporting these and other meaningful reforestation initiatives.

QV is proud to serve as an accelerator for climate resilience projects. To enhance climate resilience at scale it is critical to bring non-traditional partners – and sources of capital – to the same table. Our work on the Fort Huachuca Sentinel Landscape is an example. This work in Cochise County, Arizona, brings together funders and partners from across a wide spectrum to restore local groundwater sources and proactively protect natural resources, the local economy, and those who depend on it, for future generations.
