As tenants begin to move in to the brand new high-end Lumen West LA development, QPS was pleased to provide our services in creating Fifth Season’s office. Occupying the 10th and 11th floor, this project was filled with high elevations and large spans. Because of this, QPS worked with engineers to ensure the final product was safe and stable while still delivering the desired finish design. Our Project Engineers got down and dirty one Friday when they engaged in a friendly competition of speed and accuracy. With PM guidance, the PEs (in teams of three) raced to frame and hang three rooms per the provided plans. This activity gave our office team a glimpse into what it's like to be in the field, doing the work that they normally see as numbers on a screen. #hands-on #projectengineer #metalframing #drywall

Art Center College of Design needed a new home for their transportation design program and chose to repurpose a historic wind tunnel building in Pasadena. QPS took on the challenge of this design which consisted of large spans of framing and drywall, incorporating intricate angles and radii. We were also responsible for applying the final finish, USG Ensemble spray, to these surfaces. By combining these efforts, we transformed the space into a modern, acoustically optimized environment that respects the building's historic character. #MTDC #WindTunnel #ArtCenter #CollegeofDesign

We’re making great strides on the 1800+1900 Avenue of the Stars project in Century City. We’ve made significant improvements to both the interior and exterior. Our current focus includes sheathing and installing GFRC panels on the exterior columns. These panels were sourced from Germany, and knowing their replacement would be time-consuming, QPS has executed the installation with a perfect balance of speed and precision.
