Nichols Construction Team is proud to reflect on the extensive 36,060 SF Design-Build Demolition and Renovation we completed last year. ??? Once home to the Athletic Apex Health Club on Panorama Trail in Penfield, this site underwent an incredible metamorphosis, becoming the headquarters for Durst Image Technology U.S.—the U.S. division of Durst Phototechnik AG, a global leader in digital inkjet printing systems. Serving as the General Contractor for this remarkable project, we were tasked with turning a fitness center into a state-of-the-art facility for a company at the forefront of the imaging industry. Every step of the process required precision, collaboration, and dedication to ensure the vision became a reality. From demolition to design-build renovation, the result is a cutting-edge workspace that reflects the innovative spirit of Durst.? This transformation showcases what's possible with expertise, dedication, and seamless collaboration, brought to life by a phenomenal Team whose skill and Teamwork made the vision a reality. The $40 million transformation of SUNY Geneseo Milne Library reached completion in November, allowing students to utilize the space for the remainder of the fall term. Witnessing the building evolve into its current impressive state has been remarkable. Previously confined and dark, the building now boasts abundant natural light and open floor designs. The three-story building was crafted to feature adaptable spaces for learning and studying. It includes areas for group collaboration, classrooms, computer stations, lounge zones, and more. After months of collaboration and meticulous planning, we take great pride in the commitment poured into this project and the exceptional coordination that enabled us to finish the installation in just eight weeks. This accomplishment marks a major milestone not only for the College but also for our company. We feel privileged to partner with such an exceptional organization. ?? Ray Sheley, AIAP
