Last week at the 6sense Breakthrough conference, Qualified hosted a group of 20 marketing executives for a killer dinner. Here's what I learned from the conversations: 1. CMOs are taking action and implementing AI right now: At the same time they're questioning how they can deliver the most value to their companies. Obviously at a Qualified/6sense event we talked a lot about pipeline being the primary focus of AI investments. 2. Marketing Automation Platforms are on the decline: I was surprised to hear so many marketing execs ready to give up on the traditional MAPs that were once the centerpiece technology of their marketing orgs. The big question: Will the platform shift to AI render these once important systems obsolete? 3. In person events are back and more important than ever: After years of remote work, and a belief that you can connect with people faster, cheaper, and easier over Zoom...it was incredible to see what we all knew pre-covid. And that is, there's nothing like connecting with peers in person. 6sense's entire event felt like Dreamforce for B2B marketers. Thank you Amy Clausing for all that you do for Qualified, and thank you to our gracious hosts from 6sense Jason Zintak Viral Bajaria Latané Conant (she/her)

In the early 2000s I convinced my friend Sean Whiteley to move out to California from DC and join me on this new journey to the Cloud.? We were 27 years old. His first day in our new office he asked me for the CDs to install the software. I was like, no no no, there are no CDs, you just use a browser. Within 10 minutes he had built a workflow in Salesforce and wired up an integration to an email service that was sending me notifications for important events like deals advancing and deals closing. The power of a platform shift is that it makes the once impossible things possible. 5 years ago we thought it would be impossible to make an AI SDR anywhere near as capable as a human SDR.? It was just too hard, too complicated.? Many software companies had hired armies of AI gurus and data scientists and just couldn't get there. But here we are just a few years later and Piper the AI SDR is a reality.? She is already more capable and more scalable than most teams of human SDRs, and she has been hired by hundreds of companies to augment existing SDR teams.??You can hear about the experiences and results from real customers at an event we hosted 2 weeks ago: qualified.com/piperfest So what parallels are we seeing between the adoption of AI today and the adoption of the Cloud back then? Sean lays out a few key insights around the barriers to AI adoption in sales & marketing teams: ? -? Trust is #1 Adopting new tech is scary for enterprise teams. When we were convincing people to move to the Cloud and completely rethink their entire business infrastructure, there was a lot of apprehension. One of the keys to make this AI movement successful is prioritizing trust and data safety for every single customer. - Education is key Everyone is learning where these AI workers and agents fit into their tech stacks. Some smaller, more nimble teams jumped on the first products right out the gate. Bigger enterprise teams are going to need time to educate their organizations on how these products work, what the best practices are, and what the risks are when integrating AI. - Everyone will get on board, quickly We’re all learning at our own pace. Sean talks with customers every single day and the appetite for AI SDRS is growing quickly. But it’s going to take time for everyone to feel comfortable with the idea of automating the first touch buyers have with their businesses. Watch the full conversation here: https://bit.ly/4ef6Iw2

AI came at us fast, but thankfully, we’re led by a team of executives who have been there, done that when it comes to completely changing how we interact with technology. Our Co-founder, Sean Whiteley, sat down with our CMO, Maura Rivera, to talk about what it was like leading the charge on the Cloud Era and what parallels he sees to the AI Revolution today. He highlighted 3 key factors to a bringing the industry along for the ride: ?Trust is #1 Adopting new tech is scary for enterprise teams. When we were convincing people to completely rethink their entire business infrastructure, there was a lot of apprehension. One of the keys to make this movement successful was prioritizing trust and data safety for every single customer. ? Education is key Everyone is learning where these AI models fit into their tech stacks. Some smaller, more experimentally teams jumped on the first products they saw right out the gate. Bigger enterprise teams are going to need time to educate their teams in how these models work, what the best practices are, and what the risks are when integrating AI. ?Everyone will get on board eventually We’re all learning at our own paces. We talk with customers every single day and the appetite for AI SDRS like our product is there, but it’s going to take time for everyone to feel comfortable with the idea of automating the first touch buyers have with their businesses. They also dove into how AI will radically shift the way sales and marketing teams work in the future and why now is the time to get your team up to speed on AI and what it means for your org. Talk about a takeover ?? Our team had a busy few weeks! From LeanData's OpsStars in San Francisco and all over the city during #DF24, #MAICON in Cleveland, and HubSpot's #INBOUND24 in Boston, our team got to meet so many incredible marketing and sales leaders and introduce them to Piper the AI SDR. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth or attended a session! We loved getting to chat all things pipeline with the best in the biz. Miss us at one of these events? Not to fear, Piper's still on her takeover tour! Catch Piper next month in Vegas with the 6sense team at Breakthrough '24. We'll see you there ??
