Quadridox, Inc. is happy to announce that we have been awarded a $1.8M NIH SBIR Direct Phase II grant for the "Development and evaluation of a combined X-ray transmission and diffraction imaging system for pathology." This funding will help us revolutionize how breast tissue is evaluated in clinical #pathology and surgery, where our systems promise to increase throughput and sensitivity while reducing time and cost. Quadridox, Inc. and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Lab are teaming up as part of a CRADA to?develop and explore the creation, validation, and potential use of #syntheticdata in performing virtual test and evaluation (T&E) of X-ray security scanners, with a focus on assessing the detection performance of computed tomography-based (CT) technology.?? #syntheticdata can help vendors reduce the time and costs associated with X-ray system design, component selection, and algorithm development as well as accelerate the process of certification and qualification, but requires both the software tools AND the metrics and methods necessary for trusted validation and deployment.
