Let’s explore the key takeaways from this report: 1?? The Importance of a Free and Open, Ad-Supported Internet: - 80% of consumers?recognize that a free and open, ad-supported internet is?integral to democracy and free speech. - Nearly?80% believe it would be unfair?if websites and apps were not free to use for people with fewer financial resources. - 95% prefer ads?over paying a high fee for ad-free websites and apps. 2?? Understanding Personal Data and Willingness to Share: - Three-quarters of consumers?understand that sharing their data enables personalized ads. - 70% are willing to share personal data?to support advertising overall. - However,?50% feel that insufficient information?is provided about how their data is used and protected. 3?? At LiveRamp #rampup in 2023, we announced and showcased the Qonsent and LiveRamp #UX for Brands and Publishers. #LetsGo A real #valueexchange for a consumer isn’t just Relevant Targeted Ads…consumers need holistic solutions and choice agency. The revolution of consumer choice and agency is HERE. Love seeing Industry progress and thought leadership like this. “Powering authentications with a connectivity solution transparently communicates with users about their privacy wishes and how their data is being used. A connectivity solution can also help the broader ecosystem leverage these authentications — directly, through open exchanges, in private marketplaces, via direct deals and within every walled garden. This enables advertisers to engage the real people behind the authentications and create the personalised experiences that consumers want. The loss of third-party cookies and other third-party signals is a chance for quality to triumph over the quantity, but simultaneously there’s a lack of control and transparency that third-party cookies provide. Publishers articulating the exchange, and helping to build a relationship of trust and transparency, will lead to users better appreciating the content they consume.”
