LGBTQ+ inclusion practices help workplaces thrive - and they can also help ensure that your workplace honors its legal obligations to employees. I hope to see you at our webinar on Inclusion and the Law - Keeping Your Workplace Vibrant and Compliant. Wed. 5/15 at 12pm PT! Dr. Cornell Verdeja-Woodson (He/Him) (my co-founder at LGBTQ eLearning) and I will be in conversation with Washington employment attorney J. Denise Diskin about how workplace protections for LGBTQ+ employees have changed in the last five years, and how HR and DEIB professionals can support all of their team members with best practices. We'll talk about pronouns, bathrooms, leave policies, and all of the other "pinch points" that come up when diverse people work together. Denise has spent her career representing individuals experiencing workplace discrimination and supporting LGBTQ+ communities, families, and organizations with legal services. She is a frequent speaker on LGBTQ+ civil rights, employment discrimination, healthcare coverage for transgender and nonbinary people, and LGBTQ+ access to the legal system. She lives in Seattle, Washington with her family, where she is Co-Executive Director of Litigation and Sustainability at QLaw Foundation of Washington. Sign-up link in the comments.
