Graceland is a 54-unit complex that introduces an exterior lobby as part of its entry sequence - engaging residents and visitors in a unique double-height open-framed portal from the street into a central courtyard. Today is National Pet Day! To celebrate, here are some fun “Pet Projects” that QED has had the opportunity to be a part of: DoveLewis' Whiskers, Oregon Humane Society, Sifton Creek Vet Clinic, Sunrover Dog Daycare, and Kitty City!

Is your new construction project under the 2021 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code (OEESC)? Did you know this energy code may require a whole building air barrier test at the completion of the project? QED has been performing air barrier/blower door testing for 10+ years and can help with any questions or perform a Lunch & Learn for your team to help educate and discuss this new requirement.

Today our team is in Bend, Oregon performing FGIA / AAMA-accredited water penetration testing at the new Bend Public Works project! This new campus will include the Engineering, Facilities, Fleet, Transportation & Mobility, and Water Services Departments in the same building rather than being dispersed in different locations across Bend. The 35.5-acre site will include administrative and employee workspaces, fleet maintenance, shop and warehouse facilities, vehicle wash and storage accommodations, community meeting rooms, and more! 5 Fun Facts about QED Lab! 1. QED’s birthday is March 19th, 2012 (we're a Pisces!) 2. We have performed testing on over 5,400 projects, predominantly in the PNW. 3. QED hosts a competitive Texas Holdem Poker party each Fall as a client appreciation event and a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. 4. QED has performed testing in 12 states and 3 countries, including Mexico and Thailand! 5. As of 2025, we have performed air barrier testing on a total of 54,729,347 SF of commercial building enclosure.

Mock-up testing was recently performed at the Vancouver Waterfront: Block 1 project! Testing included FGIA / AAMA accredited water penetration on the Kawneer Fixed window system and adhesion testing on the Henry’s Blueskin VP 160 / Self-Adhered product. Fantastic quality control for the exciting new project in the beautiful Vancouver Waterfront area! #ThrowbackThursday to testing at the Oregon Episcopal School Athletic Center for Hacker Architects in 2021! The renovation transformed the school's old gym into a vibrant space to encourage students of all athletic abilities to learn and explore sports - through P.E. classes and varsity sports.
