I had to do a demo call for our new Pallet scanning app this morning, and since Manifest booths were packed up in their LTL containers, I found a treasure trove of random sized crates and pallets to scan for this demo call. I walked into the show tear down scene empty handed -- all I needed for this demo, I fit into my pants pockets: - phone to run TEAMS 5G hotspot for M2 real-time results to Cloud - M2 mobile dimensioner to 3D scan the big items and sync via Wi-Fi Thank goodness for 5G data throughput! Installed our first S1 accessory system for our M2 at Ideal Fulfillment today. Creates an instant benchtop and or cart based overhead dimensioner from the M2 mobile dimensioner. Go mobile with the M2 or dock it at an S1 to provide even faster attribute/image/dimension/weight/barcode scanning at a packing or receiving station. Unbox to 1st scan sent to WMS in 15 minutes from a non oversize UPS box. Extends to the utility of the M2 mobile dimensioner. Also I discovered Ideal Fulfillment had integrated the QBOID M2 with their Packsize real-time box making machine. M2 was sending eComm order dimensions directly to this Packsize machine, creating perfect fit boxes to minimize corrugate waste, reduce shipping dim weight and cost. An Ideal Fulfillment operator scanned an item with an M2, as seen in the picture, Packsize spit out the 'right size box' in a couple of seconds, and the fit was actually too good, probably needs another 1/8" all around to make it easy to slide the ecomm item from its box. Took seconds for all this to take place.
