The Green Team had an incredible time hosting fellow #sustainability pros at our #SXSW happy hour in Austin! Huge thanks to our partner, qb. consulting, for co-hosting, and a special shoutout to Brittany Johansen at Salt Hat Co for bringing the cowboy vibes—her custom hats were an absolute hit. ?? It was inspiring to hear how folks are advancing climate initiatives across industries—from brand-building to carbon accounting. Check out some of our favorite snapshots from the event below. If you joined us, thanks for making the event so memorable—and if not, we hope to see you at our next gathering soon! #GreenplacesEvents #HappyHour

?? Let’s Talk Human Rights & Supply Chains! ?? Human rights due diligence isn’t just a compliance checkbox—it’s a strategic necessity. ?? That’s why I’m excited to host Human Rights Office Hours with qb. consulting—a space for practitioners, business leaders, and sustainability professionals to bring their toughest human rights questions, share insights, and problem-solve together. ?? Date: Tuesday March 25 ? Time: 9am PT / noon ET / 5pm CET ?? Virtual - Register with link on comments ?? Whether you’re navigating new regulations (CSRD, CSDDD, UFLPA) and what on earth the Omnibus means, engaging suppliers on ethical sourcing, or embedding human rights into business strategy, this is your chance to ask questions, exchange ideas, and learn from real-world case studies. No panels, no slides—just an open, honest conversation about what works (and what doesn’t) in advancing responsible business practices. Join us! Looking forward to diving into these conversations with you. ???? #HumanRights #Sustainability #SupplyChain #ResponsibleBusiness #ESG #DueDiligence #BusinessAndHumanRights

Now might be a good time to assess your #humanrights impacts. ?? Or at least understand where there may be risks and opportunities along your #supplychain with things shifting so quickly. Camila Gómez Wills is hosting an "Ask me anything" for y'all in a couple of weeks to this end ???? https://lnkd.in/gTA88dDa She's whip-smart, with nearly 10 years of tenures at global companies and government agencies, where she has developed #sustainability strategies and #responsiblesourcing programs. Her background in human rights oversight, including time at Tesla and working embedded in #sourcing communities,?is key to Camila's work helping qb. consulting clients respond to #regulatory requirements that take into account the complex nature of #global supply chains (especially right now). ???? If you have any questions around how your #responsiblebusiness strategy is dealing with human rights, you won't want to miss this. ??

Many thanks to Obiageli Onuba, MCD for her guest lecture in my Design Thinking for Sustainability class in the USF MS in Environmental Management (MSEM) program at University of San Francisco. Students learned first hand the power of stakeholder engagement, active listening, empathy and collaboration in the Design Process. Afterwards, they shared "it was refreshingly authentic to hear and see how empathy in design works". They appreciated the real world examples and reminded us that "there are still good things are happening in the world" to make us feel hopeful.

Who is a woman who has inspired your career? #IWD25 ^ Love this activation from LinkedIn. Immediately thinking of my former bosses at qb. consulting, Noemí Jiménez and Sam Hartsock. I reached out to them after seeing an ad for a webinar they hosted during COVID. This turned into my first internship and eventual job in sustainability consulting. Sam and Noemí brought me on board and exposed me to some amazing, ambitious clients who were taking their first sustainability steps (like me). I started out on communications and reporting projects before transitioning into materiality assessments and strategy design. The global experiences of my colleagues and the scope of the work itself were instrumental in my decision to apply to LSE.?I've been in London ~2.5 years now, and I'll never forget where it all started, back on Zoom 4 years ago. I am forever thankful for their mentorship and inspired by their boldness, creativity, drive, and humility!

The other day I got to join Alison Taylor's class at NYU Stern School of Business to talk about qb. consulting and our not-business-as-usual approach to #stakeholderengagement (read this for more: https://lnkd.in/g6vaDDB9). One student asked me how Sam Hartsock and I make sure to really live our #values at qb. I leveled with her and said that as a small firm, we: ?? don't write an annual #impactreport, ?? we don't calculate our #GHG emissions, as we're fully remote and don't create physical products BUT we DO: ? Pledge 1% of our profits to organizations in our communities that are advancing #equity and #justice, and we have done that since day 1. Thank you, #students for always asking the best questions and bringing new (no BS) energy into the conversation. ???? Double thanks to The University of Texas at Austin for bringing Alison in to speak the next day so we could cheers + Sandy Eapen in person!
