Vitaly Sharovatov debusting a myth on software development at Agile Testing Days | Nov. 19 – 22, 2024 : ?QA is slowing down development“. With QA he is referring to ?#testing“ - as a lot of peiple out there do mix this up. Fully agree with that! How can we dare to come to this quote that if we pay attention to quality this is slowing us down in our desire to create quality products? What might slow us down is that our overall development process might not be the best one at all? Thanks Vitaly for debusting this and other myths. #AgileTD #Quality #Software

If you're going to Agile Testing Days | Nov. 19 – 22, 2024, you can see Vitaly Sharovatov do some QA myth busting live. Don't miss his talk, QA Myth Busting: A Practical Guide to Higher Quality, on Thursday the 21st!
More testing ≠ better quality Testing is an important aspect of quality, but adding more testing will not automatically increase the quality of the product you’re testing. Imagine you have a small garden. You start adding fertilizer to help your plants grow. At first, each scoop of fertilizer makes a big difference, and your plants grow faster and healthier. But after a while, if you keep adding more and more fertilizer, you’ll notice that the plants don’t grow much faster than before. In fact, if you add too much, it might even start to harm the plants. The same concept applies to testing. Quality, whether it refers to a product or a plant, is not the result of a single action. It is the result of many different tasks and strategies that work together to support quality.
