It was wonderful to meet the Irish Ambassador to the United States, Geraldine Byrne Nason at Q-Branch Austin recently, thanks to Enterprise Ireland and Irish Business Network Austin! It was also wonderful to hear Ambassador Byrne Nason speak at the ‘Women in Leadership’ event as part of the Future Forum Series at LBJ Library. Ambassador Byrne Nason spoke eloquently about the strong ties between Ireland and the United States and the opportunities for young professionals to engage in that alliance. Having recently relocated to Austin TX, I’m really looking forward to exploring the opportunities on offer here!

What a great way to start the day yesterday—spending time with Austin’s Young Irish Professional Network, joined by Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ireland’s Ambassador to the United States, and Robert Hull, Consul General of Ireland in Austin. Ambassador Byrne Nason emphasized the strong ties between Ireland and the U.S. and highlighted the significant role of Irish talent in fostering those connections, especially in Texas. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet so many talented young Irish professionals contributing to Austin’s vibrant community, including Oonagh Dalton, David Ryan, and Rory Simington. Shout out to Maebh McCarthy with Enterprise Ireland USA for behind the scenes organizing. This morning, Q-Branch had the honor of hosting H.E. Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ambassador of #Ireland to the United States. During the Ambassador's visit with the IDA Ireland Young Professionals, she extended pride for the Irish talent in the room and the strong relationship between Ireland and Texas! It's not every day you get to share a cup of coffee with an #Ambassador! Now, this was my kind of pitch competition! Investors played a high-stakes poker tournament and the winner chose which startup to invest in. I pitched on-stage between hands - and came out on top! I’m truly grateful to Alejandro Londono from PROCOLOMBIA for inviting me to speak at the Austin Tech Week to a delegation of Colombian entrepreneurs. Last week I attended Beyond Japan 24: US Pitch. ? It was a special experience for me—not only as someone passionate about innovation but also as an entrepreneur and immigrant to the USA. The energy and vision in the room were inspiring! But something really struck me: the shared challenge these founders faced in entering the US market. It reminded me of my own journey.
