February is a month we tend to focus on all things ?. But candy, flowers and romance aside, we're here to remind you that nurturing strong connections of all kinds in your life can have real impact on your overall health. Social health is at the heart of healthcare. The third pillar of overall wellness along with mental and physical health, social connection has positive effects on individual health and well-being. Conversely, those lacking positive human connections are more vulnerable to negative health outcomes. In short, when our social health suffers, so do our minds and our bodies. Happy 2025! ?? It’s hard to believe it's been eight years since Anne Jordan and I founded Pyx Health. Back then, we were focused on a singular goal: tackling our country’s pervasive loneliness crisis. That fight remains as crucial as ever. But last year, as we reflected on countless first-hand conversations with our members, we came to a profound realization: Loneliness is just one of the many social health challenges that our members face. We knew we could—and should—do more. That’s why in 2024 we launched new programs focused on quality improvement and condition management, complementing our long-standing loneliness solution and social determinants of health (SDOH) offerings. In essence, we want to build real relationships–the kinds that truly engage, empower, and uplift our members to live their healthiest lives. But this is just the beginning. There’s so much more to come in 2025, and we can’t wait to share it with you (stay tuned!). Sending a huge “thank you” to all who have been a part of our journey–I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together this year.
