Building a world where equitable and regenerative systems enable all communities to thrive.

关于我们

Pyxera Global is a nonprofit social enterprise that connects global resources with local expertise to address our world’s most pressing challenges, one community at a time. Based in Washington, D.C., and active in over 100 countries, we build partnerships that put local leadership at the center of change. We believe communities are best positioned to drive their own solutions, and lasting impact happens when they have the right tools and resources. By partnering with businesses, governments, and nonprofits, we aim to reshape global systems to ensure everyone has the opportunity to lead fulfilling and prosperous lives. Our programs focus on food security, the circular economy, global health equity, and digital inclusion. Through our services—including corporate skills-based volunteering, technical assistance, and strategic advisory—we help build the leadership and capacity needed to turn ideas into action. Our vision is a world where equitable and regenerative systems enable all communities to thrive. We pursue this by creating partnerships that prioritize local stewardship, champion equity, and deliver transformative impact for a more just and regenerative future.

The end of the year is a time to reflect on the past and look to the future. The challenges we face are urgent, but our CEO, Deirdre White, remains hopeful. "We know that by bringing together the right partners, listening deeply to communities, and applying our unique problem-solving techniques, we can make significant strides toward a more equitable and regenerative world." We are in a defining moment. As democracy teeters on the edge, and climate, economic, and social inequities deepen—the time for transactional gatherings is over. On April 2 from 12–2pm PT, I’m hosting an intimate community conversation with Pyxera Global in San Francisco for leaders, organizers, creatives, and changemakers who understand that systems change begins with people power. This won’t be your typical event. It’s a space for truth-telling, vision-building, and deep collaboration. A space to imagine what’s possible when we lead from community, justice, and joy. Lunch is on us. The dialogue is on all of us. If this resonates with you—DM me for details. Let’s build, not just react. Let’s co-create the future we need. #SystemsChange #CommunityPower #ClimateJustice #Leadership #SocialImpact #PyxeraGlobal #BelovedCommunity

Traditional business models often prioritize short-term profits at the expense of environmental and social wellbeing. A #CircularEconomy offers an alternative model. We can maintain the value of resources through strategies like the 5Rs: ??Refuse ?Reduce ??Reuse ?Recycle ??Repurpose? Small businesses are key to this transition. They have deep roots to their communities, enabling them to foster close relationships with suppliers and adapt quickly to new challenges. Through the Circular Supply Chain Coalition (CSCC), we’re working to recover and integrate critical minerals into supply chains, strengthening market resilience while reducing waste and environmental impact. The CSCC brings together resources from large corporations with the agility of small business to reimagine operations for a regenerative and equitable future.? Liliana Corzo recently explored the role of small enterprises in supply chains in our latest blog post. https://lnkd.in/esakFiNX Climate KIC Kirsten Dunlop First Mile | Certified B Corp Ian Rosenberger Vivien Luk David Berdish Eva Gladek Anita Schwartz Brandon Tidwell Manuel Carmona Yebra Deirdre White Liz Miller Jacquelyn Omosunbo Omotalade 羚 . 歐瑪塔雷德 Marieka Walsh Mackenzie Knowling

Thank you, Jacquelyn Omosunbo Omotalade 羚 . 歐瑪塔雷德! I love this question: "What am I willing to transform—in myself, in my industry, in my world?" This question lingers, and I’ve seen its power unfold in the quiet, in-between moments of pro bono work while at Pyxera Global. Over shared meals, in small conversations, in the ah-ha moments of closing sessions—I’ve watched perspectives shift, assumptions unravel, and new possibilities take root. Being "on the ground" with project teams, both literally and figuratively, has made one thing clear: transformation doesn’t just happen in the work itself, but in the relationships and reflections that emerge along the way.

In this political moment—when the very fabric of democracy feels under threat and systemic inequities deepen daily—skills-based volunteering is more than a "nice to have." It’s a lever for power. A vehicle for change. A gateway to transformation. But let’s be clear: skills-based volunteering is just the beginning. Yes, offering your time and talents to nonprofits, community orgs, and impact startups is invaluable. But what if we expanded our imaginations? What if we moved beyond transactional engagement and embraced transformational solidarity? What if volunteering became a radical act of listening, learning, and unlearning? A way for tech workers to understand environmental justice. A way for finance professionals to reimagine capital flows. A way for marketers to amplify movement narratives instead of brands. We don’t just need skills—we need deep systems fluency. We need bold, boundary-crossing leaders who see service not as charity, but as co-liberation. In this climate, it’s not enough to “give back.” We must stand up, show up, and build forward. The question isn't just: “How can I help?” It's: “What am I willing to transform—in myself, in my industry, in my world?” #SkillsBasedVolunteering #SocialImpact #Leadership #Solidarity #CoLiberation #JusticeForward

How can we move away from an extractive economy and move towards a circular one? It’s not just about how we source or design materials—it's about rethinking how organizations work together. The Circular Supply Chain Coalition (CSCC) fosters collaboration across industries and sectors, bringing together small businesses, manufacturers, corporations, local governments, community-based organizations to strengthen market resilience while reducing waste and environmental impact. ? ? We will be at #Circularity (April 29-May 1 in Denver, CO) sharing insights from the CSCC and demonstrating how businesses can work together to provide a cost-effective solution to wasteful extraction. Register by March 28 to save $450, plus use the code C25PG to save an additional 10% — total savings of over $700 off the Final Rate:?https://buff.ly/3DIW7Mx Trellis Group #GlobalEngagement #RegenerativeBusiness #EconomicEquity?

In the 35+ years of Pyxera Global's existence in partnering with local communities across the globe, we have found that many of the solutions the world needs are neither technological advancements nor new services, but instead something more fundamentally simple. Reuse/reduce/repurpose models and behaviors that limit waste, prioritize local value chains over global supply chain, regenerate natural systems, and are aligned within the context of our planetary boundaries. The question that I often grapple with is "how do we subsidize and incentivize reuse behaviors at scale in an extractive capitalist system that only speaks to quarterly earnings, unlimited growth, and shareholder value?" This is extremely perplexing ...especially in the current environment where corporate power goes unchecked. It’s been a few weeks since I attended?#GreenBiz25, and my biggest takeaway from our Circular Supply Chain Coalition (CSCC) panel is that a path is quickly materializing to rapidly incentivize and subsidize reuse/remanufacturing across the globe. Some of the conversation topics that are still top of mind: 1. Localized supply chains = risk mitigation. The CSCC is focused on recovering critical minerals before they hit landfills, reducing supply chain vulnerabilities and ensuring businesses have access to the materials they need. 2. Incentives and subsidies drive action. Businesses move quickly when the economics make sense. The CSCC is designing incentives for recovery, reuse, and remanufacturing (because sustainability should also be a smart business decision!). 3. We can turn social good into business advantage. The ability to reduce emissions, stabilize supply chains, and create jobs is real. The missing piece? Policies and incentives that shape how we recover materials, not just how we consume and discard them. 4. The accountability landscape has changed. Today, corporate executives are feeling more pressure from consumers and investors than from policymakers. Those who move first on securing supply chains will be ahead of the curve. 5. Not all materials are created equal. Metal and minerals have real market value and established recovery pathways. Plastic? Not so much. The economics don’t support large-scale reuse. The momentum is here. The CSCC is in the right place at the right time, and people are paying attention. The question now isn’t if we can shift material recovery, it’s how fast we can make it happen. Delays, visa complications, jet lag, and cultural adjustments—sometimes, making an impact isn’t as seamless as we hope.
