#HereWeGrow We are excited to welcome Deric Clinton as our Assistant General Manager at Typhoon Texas Waterpark in Austin, Texas. With over 32 years of aquatic experience across non-profit and for-profit sectors, Deric’s passion for aquatics began in 1994 as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA in Wilmington, Delaware. He advanced through leadership roles, including Senior Director of Aquatic Operations for the YMCA of Delaware, where he managed state-wide aquatic programs, risk management, and partnerships. Deric also worked with Ellis and Associates, Inc., contributing to aquatic safety and operations at Gaylord Resorts in Denver and leading the opening of Great Wolf Lodge’s largest resort as Assistant Director of Aquatics. Deric is a proud family man who enjoys baseball, golf, and volunteering. His wife is a nurse, and their daughters excel in school, sports, and community service, with plans to pursue careers in kinesiology and physical therapy. Excited to join the Austin community, Deric is eager to bring his expertise to Typhoon Texas and continue supporting the outstanding work happening every day.
