Thank you to our partners for their support! With their help, we were able to provide opportunities to engage in hands on learning to 50 percent of our cohort in the first go. Externships help expose our young people to new opportunities and help employers and industry leaders connect with potential talent.

Round 1 of externships is coming to an end. Our fellows have really enjoyed the opportunity to get some hands-on learning experience from the experts in their fields. Thank you so much to our partners at Tiny Boxwoods Productions, the St. Luke’s Day School, Tiny Champions, and Bludorn Restaurant, for providing opportunities to our fellows to stage/extern with your teams. Our fellows loved the goal-setting through Jenga activity Coach Oscar developed. Gamification is a great way to increase motivation and deepen retention of new skills. Love to see it in action!

Cohort 10 is off to a great start! Career Coach Oscar designed a series of hands-on learning experiences focused on self-discovery and future goals. We’re excited to see what’s next!

We hope you’ll join us at Refuge on February 27! Our alum and future mixologist, Josh, has teamed up with Tommy Ho and the Refuge team to create a handful of new cocktails and mocktails just for us! All proceeds will from the evening will support PX Project.

Congratulations to C9 alumni, Roza & Monica on starting their CNA program! We are so proud of them and excited for their new journey!

If you know a young person in the Houston area looking to navigate their entry into the workforce and develop their employability, emotional intelligence, and personal agency skills, invite them to visit the link and apply. This is a paid workforce development fellowship. REQUIREMENTS - Ages 18-24 - Available Mon-Fri, 9am-3:30pm, January to May 2025 Our 18-week program has an intensive culinary art component; however, we welcome young people with any and all career interests and goals.
