These two women found their passion for hockey later in life after being told it wasn't for girls. Now, they are dedicated fans of the University of Minnesota Duluth’s women’s hockey team. My parents are season ticket holders and my grandma requests to go to their games every time she visits Duluth. Their admiration for the players extends beyond the game; these women are not just talented athletes but also actively contribute to our community, setting a strong example for others. This commitment to excellence is further exemplified by alumni who play in the PWHL. My mom and grandma’s fan experience is like so many others. Women inspiring other women. Yesterday, they had the opportunity to meet Sydney Brodt, Maggie Flaherty, and Maddie Rooney, former Bulldogs who won the Walter Cup last season. Kudos to the Minnesota Frost for bringing the Walter Cup to Duluth, showcasing the endless possibilities when one follows their dreams. Good luck this season!
