Old Meets New: An Interior Design Love Story ? ? Preserving the original, historic charm of this circa 1840 house was our first priority. A close second? Getting creative to find contemporary complements and old-world finishes that honor its architectural style. ? ? This meant matching the original hardwood floors leading to the primary bath (1-2), transforming the ground-floor piazza into an alfresco dining oasis (3-4), restoring and relocating an original cast iron kitchen sink (5-6), and reimagining a cased opening and connecting corridor to include a curved plaster wall and sculpture niche (7-8). ?

Step into the pages of?Charleston Magazine's?July cover story, showcasing the White-Williman House— a centuries-old Italianate mansion our team had the honor of restoring. Once divided into multiple units, we transformed this circa 1840s residence into a single-family home that harmonizes historical integrity with contemporary, European-inspired comforts. It is a privilege and delight to work on projects of this nature, where stewardship of past & future collide, and collaboration with those whose vision, craftsmanship, and appreciation for heritage breathe new life into the present. Thank you, Charleston Magazine, for this brilliant feature and beautifully written story. We are so grateful to share our work with your readers!
