Many women prefer to have a natural birth experience, but sometimes a cesarean section is necessary to ensure a safe delivery. Nonetheless, having a C-section, or a surgical delivery from the uterus, doesn’t mean that a woman can’t still be an active participant in the delivery of her baby. During National Diabetes Awareness Month, we wanted to share some information about diabetes, which can impact sexual and reproductive health for women. For example, women with diabetes have a higher risk for yeast infections and UTIs, especially if their blood sugar levels are high.
