We're on a mission to end preventable stillbirth, and we're not taking no for an answer. #UnitedWePush
关于我们
1 in 4 stillbirths in the US can be prevented, but this silent public health crisis has never been a priority. Together, we can change this. 65 American babies are dying in the second half of pregnancy every single day - even in otherwise healthy, low-risk pregnancies. That's 3 kindergarten classes - more children's lives each year than prematurity, SIDS, car accidents, drowning, guns, fire, poison, flu, and listeria COMBINED. PUSH is a nonprofit organization founded by diverse bereaved parents united by our passion to end preventable stillbirth in the US through education, advocacy, and community. Our mission: #EndPreventableStillbirth in the US by 2035. Our impact: The first US stillbirth org to target systemic inequities and push for top-down systems change. How we work: Only big, bold, innovative action will create the change we want to see to ensure more parents and babies make it home safe together. Are you ready to save babies' lives? Join us. Pregnancy after loss (PAL) is an emotionally complex journey that requires specialized, compassionate care. Bereaved parents deserve the best possible support, yet too often, providers lack the training and resources needed to offer truly trauma-informed care. At PUSH for Empowered Pregnancy, we are working to change that. Through our partnership with Mount Sinai, we helped launch the first Rainbow Clinic in the U.S. (https://hubs.li/Q039vFS_0), bringing a globally recognized model of PAL care to American families. To expand access further, we developed a self-paced, virtual PAL Trauma-Informed Care training for providers (https://hubs.li/Q039vGYl0), ensuring more equitable support nationwide. Taken by over 1K providers across the country (and counting), we're thrilled to know more parents will be cared for with greater empathy and understanding. #PregnancyAfterLoss #PALAwareness #RainbowClinic #TraumaInformedCare #StillbirthPrevention #MaternalHealth #UnitedWePUSH

"I was not an uninformed pregnant person, but I never even heard the word stillbirth outside of a Victorian context, had no idea it was happening to anyone in this day and age, let alone that it could happen to me." Our Executive Director, Samantha Banerjee, was interviewed by Amsterdam News about the urgent need for better maternal care and stillbirth prevention policies. She also shares how the advocates of the Mobilized Maternal Health Coalition (which PUSH is a part of) are joining forces to ensure access to quality maternity care for BIPOC families in NY. ?? February 25, 2025: Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) Licensure + Updates on Paid Leave (Temporary Disability) Benefits Bill & Announcing Day of Action in Albany 3/26!
