While we might not be the biggest fans of square or rectangular sites, we have more then a distaste when it comes to circles ????♂? Transition heavy / flow park ... then circles are 100% workable, its just trying to work "street" into the equation where you want straight lines and 90 degree bends that can be a challenge ?? The #BrooksidePark skatepark in Farmington, NM has a rich history that stretches from the local oil-fields all the way to the pages of #ThrasherMagazine. Pretty amazing to meet the local community that has developed around this park and hear how much the facility means to them. Honoring the park's history while breathing new life into this 15k + SF facility is what the locals want and we at PUSHparks, Inc along with our friends at Pland Collaborative intend to deliver. Ground has broken in St. Thomas & the island's first skatepark is now quickly taking shape. Local contractors Haugland Group LLC are making quick work of the site prep before the concrete artisans from Spohn Ranch Skateparks take over ???? Would like to thank the St. Thomas Government & the USVI Surfing Federation for trusting PUSHparks, Inc with the design, planning and administration of this project. Most of all would like to thank the donors and sponsors that raised nearly 600k in cash + 200k of in-kind labor & materials ???? Next time your on island there will be 14k square feet of fun waiting for you at Ezra Fredericks Park in Fredenhoj, be sure to thank & respect the locals ???? Created as a 2nd phase to an existing skatepark this ?? has flow for days and offers a ton of low impact fun, design parameters: > Beginner & Intermediate Focus > Do not replicate features from phase 1 > Pushing to be optional > Align with existing tie-in's, connections & topography The end result is something that compliments the existing park but most importantly caters to all wheels & abilities ???? ???? ???? #pushparks #alwayspushing #flow #thankyouskateboarding

With skatepark sizes trending upwards ?? over the past 15 years, many of our projects now exceed the old 10k square foot benchmark that community's would target. So, designing this 6,000-square-foot park was a fun challenge that certainly brought out our creative side to ... -> Create a layout that "Flows" -> Find the ideal balance between street and transition elements -> Incorporate most of the key features from the skater “wish list” -> Carefully minimize the park’s impact on nearby amenities -> Discreetly add some bonus elements for added fun As with many things in life, true greatness isn’t always about size. We believe it’s the creativity, thoughtfulness, consideration, drive, and passion put in on the front-end that ultimately drives good skateparks. #alwayspushing #pushparks #thankyouskateboarding

In the running for a new project and need to submit a sample concept that adhere's to the following criteria: 1. Core user group: Surf ?? / Skate ?? 2. Secondary user group: All wheels (?? / ??) w/o motors 2. Functions like a pump track ???? 3. Incorporates a half-pipe ???? 4. Occupies no more than 5,000 square feet ?????? Its a tall order for a small space but feeling like we may have pulled a rabbit out of the proverbial hat on this one.
