I had a great time yesterday evening at the 39th annual Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Airport Business Diversity Conf - Business Matchmaking Event in downtown Nashville. It looked like there were 300 people in this conference space for this first major AMAC event I’ve ever attended including airport reps from around the country and minority business owners and reps looking to be matched for providing professional services or other needed resources. We only had 5 minutes apiece with the Airport reps in this Speed Dating style event, but it created great opportunities for meaningful business connections. PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: The Shops at White Oak Village Richmond, VA This 930,000 SF retail development was designed for FOREST CITY ENTERPRISES, INC, and was constructed in Richmond, VA, in 2008. Terry was the Senior Designer for the 151,000 SF Lifestyle Center Shops for this 135-acre project, and the vast majority of the masterplanning while working at a firm in NE Ohio. This walkable Lifestyle Center features generous green space and site amenities, resulting in a creative city center landscape. The remainder of this eclectically designed development features 366,000 SF of major anchors, 338,000 SF of junior anchors, and 12 outparcels totaling 73,000 SF.
