Kitten season brings with it opportunities to foster and volunteer (https://lnkd.in/gTtXA5QH) at the Arlington Shelter, Marysville PetSmart Adoption Center and Renton Landing PetSmart Adoption Center. There are always slots to fill, as the offsite events are open 7 days a week and there are usually three shifts -- one to open and feed, midday to provide the kitties with enrichment and play time, and evenings to feed and water and scoop litterboxes. Always time for kitty cuddles too.
关于我们
Through placement and prevention programs, Purrfect Pals works to end cat homelessness in the Puget Sound region – Because every cat matters. www.facebook.com/purrfectpals www.purrfectpals.org At Purrfect Pals, our highest priority is taking in the cats and kittens who need us most… those who other shelters and rescue groups might not have the resources to help. This includes older cats, cats with major medical needs, cats with chronic illnesses (including FIV and Feline Leukemia) and those with behavioral challenges. Cats who are not easily adoptable have a forever home in our sanctuaries. Our cat adoption and rehabilitation programs help us place homeless cats, including those with special needs, in loving homes. We believe that every cat is adoptable; some just need more time than others to find the right match.

Purrfect Pals, one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading feline rescues has announced new roles for three members of their leadership team, effective the beginning of April. ? Executive Director Kathleen Olson, CAWA, has moved into the role of Development Director, a 3/4 time position, to focus on capacity building and project funding for the organization’s exciting new initiatives. She is assuming a larger volunteer role in the community as Rotary District 5050 Governor Designate for 2026-2027 and continuing to devote time as an Animal Rescue Volunteer with the Humane Society of the United States. ? Deputy Director Carol Lamar, CAWA,PHR has moved into the role of Executive Director. Lamar has been handling the day-to-day operations of Purrfect Pals’ programs, and as Executive Director will expand her focus to community relations and a more outward-facing role. Susan Bark, Foster & Intake Manager, has moved into the newly-created role of Operations Director, encompassing oversight of the clinic, foster, adoption, and sanctuary programs. ? “We are very excited about these new roles for Kathleen, Carol, and Susan,” said James Petts, President of the Purrfect Pals Board. “They each bring such great skill sets and experience, and these new roles will help us achieve the strategic growth we’re focused on for the future.” ? With expanded demand for low-income veterinary services, the senior cat sanctuary, adoption, foster programs, and the community pet food bank, Purrfect Pals is working on developing more resources to continue to meet the need. “Since its founding by Kathy Centala, Purrfect Pals has always been willing to do whatever it takes to save at-risk cats,” said Carol Lamar, Executive Director. “We’re resilient, forward-thinking, and always centered on our mission. All of us are looking forward to our new roles and the ways we will continue to help Purrfect Pals take care of the cats and kittens who need us most – those who other shelters and rescue groups might not have the resources to help.” ? About Purrfect Pals Purrfect Pals is a leading feline rescue and cat sanctuary in the Pacific Northwest, working to protect the cats and kittens that other groups may not be able to help. In the 36 years since founder Kathy Centala first took in abandoned cats who were at risk of being euthanized, the organization has seen significant growth. Purrfect Pals has expanded to serve cats that other rescues and community members may not have the resources to help: seniors, those with special needs, the behaviorally challenged, orphaned kittens, and cats with chronic illnesses. Thousands of cats and kittens in the Adoption Program have found loving homes. Additionally, cats with major medical needs have been accommodated in cage-free living areas for as long as needed, even if it is several years. ?
