Solid-Wood Species Highlight: Ash. Ash is a quality Indiana Hardwood that is readily available due to the Ash Borer creating a large supply of lumber. It is a top seller for us for a number of different reasons: - Very durable. One of the hardest woods you can buy! - Still premium, but lower cost. Of our 6 standard species, Ash is at the bottom of the list in terms of price. - Pronounced grain pattern. Check out that movement! Beautiful wood patterns that look good in any setting and application. - Ability to take stain. Ash absorbs and highlights stain really well, even as you get to darker colors. If you want a grey, black, or other dark stained wood, Ash is most likely going to be our recommendation.
