Purple Heart Homes Announces Leadership Expansion to Support Future Growth https://bit.ly/4loPQ9X After nearly 1,500 completed projects, 17 years of service, and growing into an $11 million nonprofit organization, Purple Heart Homes is taking a significant step forward in its commitment to serving Service-Connected Disabled and Aging Veterans. To strengthen our ability to meet the growing needs of our Veterans and ensure long-term sustainability, we are excited to announce the launch of our search for an Executive Director as an addition to our leadership team.

Today marks six months since Hurricane Helene. There is still so much work to be done but I am grateful to work with an incredible team and a company that continues to step up and support the rebuilding efforts. Today, Lowe's Companies, Inc.'s announced an additional partnership with Appalachia Service Project, Purple Heart Homes, Inc. and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)., bringing Lowe's commitment to Helene and Milton recovery to nearly $14 million. Our neighbors in Western North Carolina continue face enormous challenges. Lowe's is committed to supporting recovery efforts by investing in innovative programs like skilled trades education, small business grants, temporary tiny homes and critical home repairs. Last night’s inaugural ‘A Southern Salute to the Troops’ in Tupelo, Mississippi was a powerful evening of unity, service, and celebration. We were honored to officially welcome Scott Burns and the entire 7 Days For The Troops organization into the Purple Heart Homes family—a moment that marks a new chapter in our shared mission to serve Veterans nationwide.
