What Would You Do If Your Cooling System Went Down? A sudden cooling system failure can lead to rising temperatures, equipment damage, and operational disruptions. It’s a situation no data center operator wants to face—but would you know what steps to take if it happened tomorrow? Obviously the best action is having a plan BEFORE the failure occurs. But what if the plan comes too late? To help you prepare for the unexpected, we’ve created a step-by-step guide outlining the actions you need to take when your cooling system suddenly stops working. ?? Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/g9Pa_QDC Don’t leave your facility’s operations to chance—ensure you’re ready for anything! #datacenters #coolingstrategy #missioncritical

We had such a good time at last night's 7x24 New England Chapter Second Annual Tech Forum. We learned a lot about the different types of power generation for future generation --- and all the complications that will arise with it. We love sponsoring this chapter!
We want to express our sincere gratitude to 80+ who joined us for our event yesterday. We started off with our Annual Chapter Review, celebrating the success of our four sold-out events, including our first-ever Golf Tournament. We are excited to share that next year, we’ll continue offering four major events: - April: Data Center Hackathon for High Schoolers - July 16: Annual Networking Event - September 11: Golf Event at Pinehills - November 12: Our Third Annual Tech Forum The main feature of the event was the keynote by Jeremy Shook, PE, PMP, Principal Consultant at Black & Veatch. Jeremy’s presentation on "What's the Future for Powering Data Centers?" provided a detailed breakdown of the various power methods, including gas, nuclear, and on-site power generation. His thorough technical insights into the primary sources of power, as well as an explanation of nuclear fission and its place in the future of data centers, helped us understand the need for change in how we power our facilities. This was followed by an engaging panel discussion with Jeremy, Rich Okoney, CRL from JLL, and Dennis Julian PE, ATD, DCEP from Digital Realty, diving deeper into the future of powering data centers. As always, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who helped bring the event to life: Aheli Purkayastha, Sara Martin, Tom Stachowski, P.E., Annie J. Kemp, AIA, Sophia Pike, EIT, Zach Dlouhy, Ryan Hill, Mario Mansano, MBA, Lucas Rowe, Joe Szabo, Jennifer Thompson, Megan Wolfe. We couldn’t have done it without our incredible annual sponsors: HED, AHA Consulting Engineers, Cummins Inc., Markley, Milton CAT, AeriNOx Inc, Cranberry Consulting Company, EnerSys, Graybar, The Kinsley Group, Kwick, Protective Power Systems & Controls Inc., Purkay Labs, and Syska Hennessy Group Hennessy. A special shoutout to our beverage sponsor, BRD HUSHCORE? , and our food sponsor, USG Mission Critical. Thank you to Chris Chandler for these incredible photos. Thank you all for making this event such a success, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Today, we come together to recognize and thank all those who have served in our nation’s military. To show our gratitude, we’re proud to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that provides essential support and resources to veterans recovering from visible and invisible injuries. Please join us in recognizing their sacrifices and making a difference. Thank you to all who served. #veteransday

As millions of Americans head to the polls, data centers play a vital role behind the scenes to ensure a smooth and secure election process: from storing voter registration information to supporting real-time result reporting. In honor of #ElectionDay, let's take a closer look at how data centers play a vital role in making sure the process runs seamlessly. https://lnkd.in/gDd-SY3k

We're back with another #KeepYourCool post by Gregg Haley. This week, we're talking about the hidden time bomb of cooling failures. With high performance computing (hello #AI and #machinelearning), the heat output has skyrocketed. The question is: can your redundancy handle the heat load from these heavily populated racks or rows? We recently came up with a new type of Resiliency Testing, where you can safely test your redundancy in a LIVE data center without pushing your cooling limits to the max.
