Pure Water Group supplies #CEDI equipment for solar power plant to LEF Ingenieros Pure Water Group recently supplied and commissioned a #ContinuousElectrodeionization (#CEDI) system for its Spanish partner, LEF Ingenieros, a multidisciplinary team of professionals in water treatment. The CEDI system will produce #Ultrapurewater?? for the PS10 Solar Power Plant, the world’s first commercial concentrating solar power tower, located near Seville in Andalusia, Spain.?? This Solar Power Plant is powered by 624 large movable mirrors directed to a singular mirror on the tower and produces 23 GWh of electricity, which is enough to supply power to a population of 10,000. The #CEDI system, designed and manufactured by Pure Water Group, features two independently operated Ionpure VNX-Mini modules, each with a nominal capacity of 12 m3/h, mounted on a common skid. This flexible configuration allows for a wide range variable #Ultrapurewater?? output by enabling either one or both CEDI modules, depending on demand. This project, designed to store energy during periods of electricity surplus and supply power during grid shortages, showcases our commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. By integrating AQUABATTERY’s advanced #flowbattery technology into a compact, containerized system, including tank storage solution for the saltwater technology, we've built a powerful tool for long duration #energystorage (#LDES). Pure Water Group configured this pilot system as a plug-and-play unit consisting of AQUABATTERY stacks with pumps and liquid stream flows, a control panel with PLC/HMI, and interconnecting piping and utilities—all installed within a 40ft high-cube container. The VNX-Mini CEDI system minimizes the overall size of the #CEDI equipment while maintaining a high flow rate. This allows the construction of smaller high capacity CEDI systems, in case the footprint is primary or for high capacity containerized equipment. Pure Water Group #CEDI systems are designed and manufactured to further purify reverse osmosis product water to #ultrapure water (0,055 – 0,5 μS/cm) and are fully factory acceptance tested to significantly reduce installation and start-up costs.
