Big things are happening in Charleston for Pure Fishing! We were thrilled to welcome 26 members of the media to our brand-new corporate location in Charleston, SC for an exclusive first look at what’s ahead for our brands this spring! The day kicked off in our new showroom, where our product team walked through exciting upcoming launches, and did bait demonstrations in our awesome new pool-sized testing tank. We shared insight into how we approach marketing in the fishing industry. Patrick Torman is a perfect example. Beyond his contributions at Pure Fishing, Patrick is dedicated to safety and education as a Certified Illinois Concealed Carry Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and Defensive Pistol Instructor. He also mentors young athletes as a Certified Youth Trap Team Coach and high school varsity basketball coach. This past season was extra special—his oldest son joined the team as a freshman, and in two years, his younger son will follow. He’s also coaching his daughter’s 3rd and 4th grade team, making basketball a true family affair, with his wife as the official scorekeeper. Patrick’s leadership and commitment embody what makes Pure Fishing special. Whether coaching, teaching firearm safety, or supporting his community, he is a true leader. Pure Fishing employee saves two lives – A true HERO on ice! Some moments call for instinct, courage, and selflessness—Kyle Peterson answered that call without hesitation. His quick thinking and bravery turned an ordinary night into a life-saving mission. After a long week, Kyle wasn’t sure about going out to dinner—but something told him he should. That instinct led him to Waterfront Grille in Okoboji, Iowa, where he noticed something wasn’t right on the frozen lake. In a matter of seconds, a UTV broke through the ice, leaving a couple stranded in freezing water. Without hesitation, Kyle sprang into action. He called 911 and trekked half a mile across the ice, using nothing but his jacket to pull both individuals to safety. His determination kept them moving until rescue crews arrived, ensuring they made it back to dry land. Reflecting on the moment, Kyle says it gave him a new perspective on life and what truly matters. And as a reminder of that night, he’s keeping the now-famous $35 Walmart jacket that helped save two lives. We’re beyond grateful to have Kyle on our team—a true hero, both on and off the ice! ??
