At Purdue Musical Organizations (PMO), our mission is to inspire, educate, and entertain through the power of music. We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community that enriches the lives of our students, staff, and supporters. With a rich history dating back to 1893, PMO is committed to the following core principles: Education and Growth ~ PMO is dedicated to promoting lifelong learning and growth through music by creating an environment for students to learn, develop, and excel in their musical journeys. Community Engagement ~ PMO actively engages with our local and global communities, sharing the joy of music through performances, workshops, and outreach programs. Diversity and Inclusion ~ PMO is committed to celebrating diversity and fostering an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds and experiences feel valued, respected, and empowered. Student Leadership ~ PMO empowers students to take on leadership roles, encouraging them to develop essential skills such as teamwork, organization, and communication. Stewardship ~ PMO is committed to preserving and promoting the traditions of musical excellence while embracing change and progress Purdue Musical Organizations’ students are ambassadors of Purdue University, bringing its legacy of musical performance excellence and student success to people around the world. Many marvel Purdue provides so much in the field of musical entertainment, as the university has no school of music. Our students form lifelong friendships while performing more than 75 shows each year including the Purdue Christmas Show, which recently celebrated 90 years. In addition to all this, our organization awards more than $300,000 in scholarships to PMO students every academic year. Purdue Musical Organizations is more than just a collection of choirs – it’s a home where the passion for music thrives, where we channel that passion into making a positive impact on the world, one note at a time.
