Lillian Gilbreth was an industrial engineer who became Purdue University College of Engineering's 1st woman faculty member (1935-48). She was the first woman appointed to the National Academy of Engineering (1965) and to receive Hoover Medal (1966) for distinguished public service. Lillian pioneered numerous #industrialengineering, #management, and #psychology principles. Congratulations to Team ORSOL! The team, which consists of Jaewon Cho, Hyunsang Cho, Jihyo Park, and Hsin-Wei (Ryan) Hsieh is mentored by IE's Sivaranjani Seetharaman, and recently won the SAS Hackathon. The Hackathon this year included over 1,721 registrants from more than 70 countries, and Team ORSOL won first place in the student competition! Way to go! https://lnkd.in/gUZFCNy7

What an exciting 2-days road trip to visit multiple industrial leaders and academic leaders from Eaton Corporation (Mobility) in Marshall, MI; Southfield, MI; and University of Michigan Industrial & Operations Engineering (IOE) for our Purdue University Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering PMP Capstone Program.
