Looking for a grant writing class? Purdue Extension is offering the Beginner’s Guide to Grant Writing Workshop in counties throughout the state. The two-day workshop is geared toward those who work or volunteer for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, community clubs, and local government units and departments. Participants will learn how to develop ideas for winning grant proposals, identify and work with funding sources, and understand the proposal development, submission, and review process. This intensive (and fun!) 3-day workshop helps those who work with and lead groups to advance their facilitation skills. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals to build their skills, toolbox, and confidence to effectively lead meetings and group processes. ? The Great Lakes Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program (TCGM) opened all grant competitions: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Great Lakes TCGM Partnership was chosen to issue grants in EPA Region 5, which includes Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, and 36 Federally Recognized Tribal nations. In partnership with the Midwest Environmental Justice Network, NDN Collective, and RE-AMP Network, the Minneapolis Foundation will award environmental and climate-related grants ranging from $25,000 to $350,000 to organizations working in disadvantaged and underserved communities throughout the Great Lakes region.
