The Office of Engagement is now seeking nominations for the 2025 #EngagementAwards. This year, there will be three awards. All nomination forms should be submitted by email as one PDF file by January 20, 2025,?to?@Julie Gibbs?at?[email protected]. The Engaging Rising Star Award: This award recognizes staff, students, assistant/associate clinical/practice, and assistant/associate tenure-track professors that are showing tremendous potential when integrating community engagement in their teaching, research, and/or engagement efforts resulting in broader or societal impact. The JoAnn Miller Exemplary Community Partner Award: This award recognizes local nonprofits, schools, or government units that partner with Purdue University helping the university fulfill its mission areas of teaching, research, and engagement resulting in broader or societal impact. The Engaged Unit/Program Award: This award recognizes a #Purdue unit or program that integrates/leverages community engagement across ALL university mission areas: teaching, research, and engagement resulting in broader or societal impact. Last week Roberto Gallardo, Ph.D. received the 2024 Acorn Award on behalf of #PCRD for the READI 1.0 Evaluation. The Seed for Success Acorn Awards is an annual recognition of Purdue principal investigators and co-investigators who obtain external research funding of $1 million or more for a single proposal. The READI 1.0 Evaluation is a #PCRD team effort, which includes the majority of #PCRD staff in some capacity.
