On November 12, the Office of Engagement hosted Build Your Boilermaker Pipeline, a daylong strategy session in Indianapolis. We are thrilled that this event drew interest from a mix of business leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers from multiple Indiana companies. The program's goal was to help stakeholders leverage their home-court advantage by connecting with Purdue students and building lasting campus presences, solidifying pipelines for future workforce needs. Check out this message from Vice President for Engagement, Roberto Gallardo, Ph.D., on the redesigned Community Impact Summit! Thank you to everyone involved who made the event an outstanding success. #PurdueEngagement #CommunityImpactSummit #CommunityEngagement
Wow! can only summarize it that way. Our redesigned Community Impact Summit was a success! Thank you to the amazing Office of Engagement at Purdue University that worked so hard to put it together. The keynote from Adam Gamoran was inspiring! The 3 pillars panel wove together teaching, research, engagement, and measurement around community impact. The lightning talks around service learning and community based research, unbelievable! We also had the privilege of giving 4 engagement awards to rising stars, engaged units, and fantastic community partners. The exchange was amazing. Purdue faculty/students/staff presented along with their community partners the great work and impact they are having. Lastly, thank you to senior vice president Dimitrios Peroulis for wrapping it up by saying that communities that partner are more resilient. Thank you to everyone that partners with us. Look forward to another great year of partnerships, empowerment, and impact.
