Michael Davis, director of aircraft maintenance, and Jon Ziulkowski, senior lecturer and Part 141 flight operations quality assessment manager, have designed and implemented magneto safety guards for the Piper Archer aircraft in Purdue University’s fleet. Purdue University teams win national awards https://lnkd.in/g79tg_Nj There are 4 categories in the competition. There were 5 teams that I mentored. Three of these teams are nationally recognized. First Place (two students: Jialong Sun, Sooyon Jin) and Second Place (three students: C. Hunter Gray, Gede Bagus Michael Kim, Jacob Siefert) in the Passenger Experience and Innovations in Airport Terminal Design Challenge. And, Honorable Mention (two students: Artur Talvik, Ruth Roshni Maramulla) - Airport Environmental Interactions Design Challenge. Please check out the designs and take note of the students.
