What if we could anticipate cancer's next move before it happens? A computer model that looks at cancer across species may be powerful enough to predict patient outcomes, like the chance of metastasis. Through a project that draws on the expertise of six Purdue University researchers, including Purdue Institute for Cancer Research members Deborah Knapp and Nadia Lanman, the team's approach leverages machine learning and cross-species data to create a "digital twin" model of bladder cancer.
