The Purdue Exponent flies off the rack every Monday and Thursday. I read it for the Squirrel of the Week, but I am consistently impressed with their articles covering the community. This is a good one.

Don’t take our word for it…
Since yesterday I've been geeked out over The Purdue Exponent's coverage of #Purdue basketball's win over Tennessee to send them to the Final Four for the first time since 1980. This is a day so many alumni and fans have been waiting for. The staff nailed it with an epic commemorative front page with a clever headline for an April Fools' Day publication date. The edition is gaining so much popularity among Purdue alumni and former Exponent staff that The Exponent has scheduled a reprint of the edition with additional game photos. The Exponent is a student newspaper, one of just a handful left in the nation operating independently from its university. All coverage, including stories, photos, graphics and videos are produced by Purdue students. The Exponent funds its own trips to cover events like the Final Four and others, as well as its overall operations, and has been a Purdue staple since 1889. The Exponent did so much to launch my career both as a director at Target, from a leadership standpoint, and now in my career in communications and content. It would've been a dream to cover Purdue in a Final Four on the sports desk and will be a memorable experience for the reporters who get to make the trip to Arizona. If you're an alumnus and are seeing this, consider donating to receive a commemorative copy or 10 and support Indiana student journalism (and personal growth) here: https://lnkd.in/gWQnppQP. Now, #BoilerUp! Two more to go. Photo: The Exponent

Asking the difficult questions is part of being a high-quality news organization. Here, The Exponent both informs and asks in a well-timed article.
Student Journalist, Transit Advocate, Senior in Political Science and Crop Science at Purdue University
On Monday's front page, The Exponent published an interview I conducted with incoming Distinguished Fellow of Finance for the Mitch Daniels School of Business and former President of the World Bank, David Malpass. This article is a glimpse of reporting I have conducted over the past month on topics related to Malpass' hiring. I hope this article is able to inform students and community members on discussion surrounding these developments! https://lnkd.in/gFhYxJWg
