For over 150 years, generations of Boilermakers have left their mark in small steps and giant leaps. Today, we continue in those footsteps as we bring our best and learn to build a better world, together.
I am happy to share that I have assumed the role of Executive Director of Military Educational and Strategic Partnerships at Purdue University. ?I’ll also perform the duties of Vice Chair of the National Security and Defense Council at Purdue alongside my good friend Mark Lewis. In these roles I am excited to continue extending Purdue University’s reach of #service to the #military by #forging unique and exciting #partnerships. I am both #humbled and #thankful for the trust and confidence placed on me by our University President Mung Chiang, Senior Vice President Dimitrios Peroulis and Purdue Global #Chancellor Frank Dooley to continue leading at this most #consequential #time at one of the most #consequential #public universities in the United States as we #partner #to #serve more across the Department of Defense. I look forward to working with faculty and staff across the Purdue System as we achieve #excellence #at #scale! In reflection, as a Navy veteran, I remain humbled, that after a meaningful career in uniform, I am on a new mission continuing to #serve #all #who #serve and their #families through the #power of #education. I captured this photo this morning as I walked campus and reflected on this journey. The "Unfinished Block P" serves as an ever-lasting reminder that one's educational journey is never complete. Consept is thrilled to share that the Purdue Applied Research Institute (PARI) NextHouse initiative has been invited to submit a full proposal to the National Science Foundation's Regional Innovation Engines competition. Consept is leading the community development strategy for the NextHouse initiative. The NextHouse initiative made the cut from over 300 applications nationwide to 71 finalists competing for a $160M investment. The NextHouse initiative is tackling the pressing issue of housing undersupply in the United States by creating a factory built housing industry in the Midwest that builds housing at the same scale and quality the auto industry builds cars. NextHouse is charting a new frontier for American innovation pursuant to the bipartisan "CHIPS and Science Act of 2022." The teams selected to submit full proposals stand to build upon an inaugural cohort of regions nationwide that are bringing technology-driven economic and workforce development to all parts of the United States. Consept is proud to be part of this team.
